The Trinity Senior School is a relatively new building which required some extra works in order to deaden sound which was reverberating within the building.  Southern Cross Developers were asked to have a look at possible solutions in conjunction with the architect.  Between us, with input from both a structural engineer and a sound engineer we devised a system of suspended grids and panels incorporating Autex acoustic insulation.  Horizontal grids above individual learning spaces capture much of the rising sound and vertical suspended panels capture sound moving horizontally between spaces.  The plain white materials used pick up other colours from within the building resulting in the panels blending in to the back ground and hardly being seen.
