Albury City Council - Airport Upgrade

Southern Cross Developers was engaged to deliver the upgrade of Albury Airport, an important piece of regional infrastructure that services approximately 250,000 passengers and more than 7,500 flights each year. The project was designed to improve the airport's capacity, functionality and passenger experience while supporting the continued growth of air travel throughout the Albury-Wodonga region.

The redevelopment included the expansion of both the arrivals and departures areas, the installation of a second baggage carousel, construction of a new mezzanine level with dedicated meeting facilities, and the refurbishment of the existing café. Each element was carefully planned to improve passenger flow, increase operational efficiency and provide a more modern and welcoming airport environment.

Working within an active airport required detailed planning, strong stakeholder coordination and a commitment to maintaining safe operations throughout construction. The completed upgrade has significantly enhanced the airport's facilities, providing travellers, airlines and the wider community with an improved regional gateway while reinforcing Southern Cross Developers' expertise in delivering complex public infrastructure projects.
