Albury Wodonga Health - Nolan House Upgrade

Southern Cross Developers was appointed as the successful tenderer to deliver the three-stage upgrade of Nolan House, the acute mental health unit located at Albury Base Hospital. Undertaken as part of the NSW Government's commitment to improving mental health services across the Albury-Wodonga region, the project required careful planning and coordination to modernise the existing facility while supporting the ongoing delivery of essential healthcare services.

With the facility remaining operational throughout construction, our team implemented a staged approach to minimise disruption for patients, healthcare professionals and hospital staff. Through detailed planning, close collaboration with stakeholders and a strong focus on safety, each stage of the upgrade was completed efficiently while maintaining the high standards required within a live healthcare environment.

Completed in August 2019 with a project value of between $1 million and $5 million, the Nolan House Upgrade has delivered improved facilities that better support both patients and clinical staff. The project highlights Southern Cross Developers' experience in delivering complex healthcare construction projects where quality, communication and operational continuity are critical to successful outcomes.
