Southern Cross Developers was appointed as the successful tenderer to deliver the Albury Brain and Mind Centre, a significant redevelopment designed to strengthen community mental health services across Southern New South Wales. Located within the first floor of the historic Mercy Hospital in Albury, the project transformed an existing healthcare facility into a contemporary environment purpose-built to support patients, carers and clinical staff.

The redevelopment formed part of the NSW Government's $3 million investment into improving mental health services for the region. Working within an operational healthcare precinct and an existing building dating back to the 1950s, our team carefully managed the refurbishment while respecting the site's history and ensuring the project was delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality.

The completed Brain and Mind Centre now provides a central location for a wide range of community mental health programs, bringing essential services together under one roof. Featuring modern clinical interview rooms, therapy spaces, comfortable waiting areas, administration offices and dedicated parking for patients, visitors and staff, the facility delivers a welcoming, functional environment that supports improved mental health care for the Albury-Wodonga community while demonstrating Southern Cross Developers' expertise in complex healthcare construction.
