Fight Cancer Foundation - Albury Carers Accommodation

The Fight Cancer Foundation Albury Carers Accommodation was developed to provide high-quality short and long-term accommodation for patients, carers and families travelling from regional communities to access treatment at the nearby Albury Wodonga hospitals. Positioned on a challenging hillside site adjacent to Albury Base Hospital, the project required careful planning and experienced construction to deliver a welcoming facility that met both practical and community needs.

Designed to provide a comfortable home away from home, the development features 20 well-appointed accommodation rooms, communal living spaces on each level and dedicated administration offices. Every aspect of the building was designed to create a supportive environment where families could focus on what matters most while remaining close to loved ones receiving medical care.

Beyond the building itself, the project included secure basement parking, generous open-air parking areas and extensive landscaped surrounds that enhance the overall experience for residents and visitors. Completed in 2012 with a project value of between $1 million and $5 million, the Fight Cancer Foundation Albury Carers Accommodation remains an important piece of community infrastructure and reflects Southern Cross Developers' commitment to delivering projects that make a lasting difference to the communities they serve.
