Yarrawonga Health - Operating Theatre Upgrade

Southern Cross Developers was engaged to deliver the $9.1 million Operating Theatre Upgrade at Yarrawonga Health, a significant redevelopment designed to expand the hospital's surgical capabilities and provide modern healthcare infrastructure for the surrounding regional community. Delivered within a live hospital environment, the project required careful staging, detailed planning and close collaboration to ensure essential healthcare services continued safely throughout construction.

The redevelopment involved the demolition of existing buildings to make way for a new extension housing a contemporary operating theatre equipped with specialised medical equipment and supporting clinical spaces. Works also included the construction of a new hospital entry, refurbishment of the reception area and extensive internal fit-out to meet the stringent requirements of a modern surgical facility. Every stage of the project was completed with a strong focus on quality, safety and minimising disruption to hospital staff, patients and visitors.

Completed in February 2025, the project also incorporated upgrades to the hospital car park, the installation of a new sliding gate at the southern car park entry and landscaping of the rear garden area to further enhance the site.
